A member of the police force in Port Harcourt has reportedly shot dead one of the students staging a protest at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
The students kicked off a protest
earlier today to express their displeasure over the increase in tuition
fees while also accusing the school management of deliberately ignoring
the problems confronting them.
A witness took to social media to vent his anger over the death of his colleague.
@Roland_speaks wrote: “Faculty of Management Science University of portharcourt President Comr Peter has been killed by Nigeria Police Force.”
