Oyo state police command has arrested a
runaway member of the gang that robbed and killed a member of the Oyo State
House of Assembly, Honourable GIDEON AREMU in July 2016.
According to the Commissioner of Police,
ABIODUN ODUDE, who disclosed this during a press briefing in Ibadan on
Wednesday, the suspected killer, KOLA AROBIOLE was caught in Egbeda area of
Ekiti State, after leading another gang to snatch a motorcycle from its owner.
Mr AREMU, who represented Oorelope State
Constituency, was assassinated on July 1, 2016 at his residence in Alakia,
Ibadan.
In another development, the command also
arrested four armed robbery suspects who have terrorised parts of Ibadan. All
the four were nabbed at their hideout in Lagos.
The command also paraded three young men
who confessed to be ritualists after they were caught in Ogbomosho with two
fresh human heads and legs.
